Vertical Bolt Plate - Product Description

[AVAILABLE JANUARY 2026]

The Vertical Bolt Plate extends the versatility of Domino Clamps by providing a robust steel fixing plate that projects upward from the container corner casting. This creates a strong, adjustable connection point for horizontal beams and structural members mounted on top of a shipping container.

The plate is designed to accommodate a wide range of materials, from standard 41 mm Unistrut and 2x4” timber, up to 145 mm C16 or C24 structural timber. It is ideal for heavy duty roof structures, decking systems, and flat mounted solar arrays, providing a secure anchor point for beams that sit directly on the container.

Used in conjunction with Domino Clamps, the Vertical Bolt Plate transfers loads straight into the container’s structural frame, removing the need for drilling, welding, or cutting into steel surfaces. This makes it well suited to long term, demountable construction where strength and repeatable alignment are essential.

Whether you are building roof platforms, mounting PV frames, or supporting continuous horizontal beam runs, the Vertical Bolt Plate provides the strength and flexibility required for durable construction.

Installation options

By rotating or reversing the plate, several installation options are possible.

Standard upright orientation The plate is mounted vertically above the Domino Clamp using countersunk M12 set screws, giving a neat, flush finish. Two height positions are available. The slotted holes at the top allow timber or other materials to be fixed at the required height.

Reverse upright orientation Functionally identical to the standard upright position, but allows the use of hex head M12 set screws instead of countersunk fixings if preferred.

Reverse inverted orientation With the slots positioned at the bottom, the plate height can be adjusted on the Domino Clamp to precisely meet the uppermost side of the beam or material being supported. In this configuration, the beam is fixed using the 13mm diameter round holes, providing a solid and repeatable connection.
